Consider Love Food Pantry is a faith-inspired, community-driven nonprofit based in Weimar, TX, dedicated to meeting both physical and spiritual needs through acts of love, compassion, and nourishment.
More than just a place to receive groceries, Consider Love is rooted in love, hope, and faith. We serve individuals and families facing food insecurity, offering not only support through nourishment but also encouragement through kindness, prayer, and spiritual inspiration.

Our mission: to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We believe that love is the most powerful force. Whether it’s through feeding the hungry, a kind word, or a simple Bible verse tucked in a grocery bag, everything we do is guided by this one truth: God is love, and love in action changes lives.

how to qualify

To receive assistance from Consider Love Food Pantry, certain requirements must be met.
Applicants must provide their name, verify residency in the Weimar area, and meet the income guidelines established by The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Click application button to see application in English and Spanish

GUIDELINES
Pantry items are subject to change depending on availability that month.
Canned Goods
Green beans, collard greens, corn, green peas, peaches, mixed fruit, apple sauce, soup, pasta sauce, mushrooms, jalapenos, pinto beans
Meats
Chicken, sausage, pollock, cod, catfish, venison. (Most meats arrive frozen)
Frozen
Ice cream, brisket queso, stuffed mushrooms, TV dinners, pizzas, hot pockets, blueberries, strawberries, peaches.
Dessert/bread
Loaves of bread, baguette, rolls, muffins, cupcakes, cakes, powdered/chocolate donuts

drinks/other

Lentils, bagged beans, rice, chips, cereal, fruit juice, canned water, soft drinks, bottled tea and protein shakes.

Distribution

Distribution Day is every 4th Thursday of the month at the Weimar VA Hall (American Legion Post 259), 503 Park Dr. (Upcoming dates: June 26, 2025. July 24, 2025 August 28, 2025)

We currently do not have a permanent building, but we’re actively working toward one. Once we do, our goal is to offer distribution days more frequently than once a month.

Please be patient with us as we trust God to open the right doors at the right time.

Consider Love Food Pantry extends our deepest gratitude to the incredible volunteers who help make everything possible. From those who arrive early to set up, to the ones who spend Thursday mornings unloading pallets, organizing food, and filling cars — and hearts — with love, we thank you.

We simply could not do what we do without your selfless dedication. You are appreciated beyond words and are a true blessing to our mission.

A special thank you goes to the veterans and the VA Hall for not only supporting us but also generously offering their facility for our distribution days — and for the many hours of service they so freely give.

We are also immensely grateful to the generous individuals and organizations who have donated funds toward our monthly pantry orders. Your support directly feeds families and fuels hope.
